Principal Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning Generali Nixon Korir today graced the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development – RCMRD 50th Anniversary at Kasarani, Nairobi. Speaking at the event where he represented Lands Cabinet Secretary Hon. Alice Wahome, the PS lauded the institution for being at the forefront of Geospatial innovation.

He further exuded confidence that RCMRD will continue spearheading the journey towards sustainable development by mapping, planning and safeguarding the resources in the African continent.
The event’s Chief Guest, Malawi’s Minister of Lands Deus Gumba, lauded the 20-member States of the RCMRD for their continued support and collaboration towards the aspirations of the institution. “RCMRD must continue to be the centre of excellence in meeting the growing need for data-driven policy formulation and decision making”, he noted.
